With our 54 wind turbines, photovoltaic plants such as the Agri-PV plant Sonnenfeld, a small hydropower plant and our biogas plant, we are sending a strong signal for more renewables in the country. At the Energy Park, everything revolves around renewable energy. We develop and operate wind and solar power projects, generate green gas from organic residues with our biogas plant, and also rely on hydropower with the small hydropower plant on the Leitha River.

With our commitment to two climate and energy model regions – KEM Energie³ and KEM Carnuntum – and two climate change adaptation regions – KLAR! With a unique diversity of four different renewable resources in our plants, we set the standard in the industry. This uniqueness makes us a pioneer in renewable energy.
In addition to our commitment to energy generation, we also take our educational mission seriously. Through various projects, including school visits, we help raise awareness of renewable energy. Since 2005, together with the Vienna University of Technology, we have been laying the foundation for professionals in the energy sector through the international university course “Renewable Energy Systems” in university continuing education.
