The energy park as
Wind power
Our wind power projects
In the region –

At zero hour of the energy park was the idea to use wind energy. This is how it all began in 1995 in innovative pioneering work. A lot has happened since then – the idea, which was initially viewed skeptically by many, has become a company deeply rooted in the region, for which the people, nature and the environment in the Römerland Carnuntum are immensely important.
Efficient use of wind energy in harmony with nature is and remains important to us. We work in the region and for the region. We see it as our mission to make our contribution to a livable region.

Energy
Electricity generation from wind power is based on the principle that the kinetic energy of the wind is converted into electricity via the rotary motion of the rotor.
Historically, the use of wind power in the form of windmills has been known for a long time. The first power generation plants were built at the end of the 19th century. originated in Denmark. In Austria, modern wind power started in 1994 with a 150 kW wind turbine in Marchfeld.
The Green Electricity Act of 2002 also created a stable framework for the expansion of wind power in Austria, but this slowed down considerably in the years 2006-2009.
It was not until the beginning of 2010 that the legislature again created an environment that permits further expansion of wind power.
Just one modern wind turbine with a capacity of 3 MW produces electricity for more than 2,000 households each year – cleanly and without any CO2 pollution.
