Bicycle fun at the Hundsheim kindergarten

Practice early: Bicycle workshop at Hundsheim kindergarten

In bright sunshine on April 29, everything revolved around bicycles at the Hundsheim kindergarten! As part of an exciting cycling workshop, the children from all three groups were able to put their cycling skills to the test and at the same time practise important skills for safe road traffic.

The children mastered a varied course with great enthusiasm – on balance bikes, bicycles or scooters, depending on their ability. There were various exercises on the program: riding through a narrow passage, overcoming a ramp, targeted braking, ducking under an obstacle and one-handed riding while throwing a ball into a bucket – the latter as a playful exercise to prepare them for the blinking in road traffic later on.

The workshop was organized by the Climate Alliance and supported and accompanied by KEM Carnuntum. The aim of the campaign is to raise awareness of sustainable mobility at an early age and at the same time promote road safety.

The children not only had great fun, but also learned important basics for safe and environmentally friendly transportation – a valuable contribution to the mobility of tomorrow!
