Energy consulting and thermography at dawn in winter

Energy consulting and thermography at dawn in winter

From December 2 to 4, 2025, energy consultant Ralf Roggenbauer and KEM Manager Tina Rigler were out and about in KEM Carnuntum, taking a close look at 3 houses each in Scharndorf, Hundsheim and Petronell. On three frosty winter mornings, between 7 and 9 a.m., the participating households were given advice on the topics of renovating old houses, windows, insulation and subsidies. Potential weak points, i.e. possible thermal bridges, were visualized with the help of the thermal imaging camera brought along. The additional use of the thermal imaging camera made it possible to identify energy weaknesses at an early stage and provided clues for a refurbishment focus. The early appointments also ensured that the sunlight did not distort the measurement results – an important prerequisite for meaningful images.

Of course, the participating households received a report with the individual results and recommendations for possible (renovation) steps to optimize energy consumption and reduce heating costs in the long term.

The campaign was very well received and the feedback was consistently positive, which once again highlighted the great interest in the topic of energy-efficient living in our KEM.

The campaign was supported by Energieberatung Niederösterreich.
