Overview

The postgraduate MSc “Renewable Energy in Central and Eastern Europe” is Austria’s first cross-border course in the field of renewable energy and was launched in 2005. In cooperation with the Vienna University of Technology, we have been supervising the postgraduate master’s program since it was founded.
The partners in the course development are: Vienna University of Technology, West Hungarian University Mosonmagyaróvár, Energy Centre Bratislava and us.

The course content is focused upon three subject areas.

  • Providing basic technical knowledge in all areas of renewable energy
  • Project development and management of sustainable energy systems
  • Legal framework at European and national levels.

The sponsors of the course always strive to keep the content up to date because knowledge is also renewable.

On April 1st, 2011, the Technical University of Vienna became the first Austrian university to receive the ASIIN international seal of quality for this course.

In October 2016, the university course changed its name to “MSc Renewable Energy Systems”. Due to the dynamic nature of the field of renewable energies and the international stage upon which it is set – in terms of content – focus is based on a more systemic view within the integration of renewable energy sources.
