Hydro Power plant Trautmannsdorf a.d. Leitha

Searching for a suitable place for a small hydropower plant, Energiepark Bruck/Leitha came across the former location of the Seidl mill in the municipiality of Trautmannsdorf/Leitha about 3 years ago.
After intensive evaluations the decision (2020) finally fell on the spot at the Mühlbach (branch of the river Leitha).

The core of the power plant is a hydropower screw (from Vandezande), which is a very useful alternative to a conventional turbine for the revitalization of small hydro power plant locations. Hydropower screws are characterized by lower installation and operating costs and are also designed in such a way, that they allow fish to cross the power plant downstream.

Energiepark Bruck/Leitha is thus completing its portfolio of renewable energy systems with hydropower in its 25th year.
